When we were getting about ready to write for this page we thought it would be a good idea to ask some of our customers how often they thought about their windows. We were not surprised to find out that most people don’t think about their windows a lot. What usually happens when they have to replace one of their windows is that they have no idea where to look for replacements. Obviously, you are here so you have overcome that problem. Replace All Sorts Of Windows
Not all windows are going to be perfect squares or rectangles. Some windows are going to be overly large others, on the contrary, can be very small. There are certain “standard” measurements for windows. When you are lucky and you have to replace a window that is very commonly used you may not have as much trouble finding a replacement. Breaks & Cracks Are Not The Only Reasons For Replacement
There are going to be very obvious situations where you are going to need to replace your window because it is falling apart or because it has actually broken. There is really not much that you can do there, you are not going to be gluing back broken glass. That being said, there are different issues that could arise that could lead you to need to change your windows. If your windows are looking yellow or just a different color overall or if they don’t look clean when you literally just cleaned them you are going to want to give us a call!
The Average Lifespan
The average lifespan of most windows. At least the type of windows that you can expect to get from us goes for around 20 years plus. Obviously, if there is really nothing that happens that ultimately breaks the window it can go on for much longer. As we said in the last paragraph though there are things that are going to come up after that time that will lead you to want to change the windows. You can start seeing the frames and the area of the window near the frame literally rotting. It can also impact your electric bill.
How Are Windows Going To Affect My Electric Bill?
This is something that you are probably going to notice over time. One of the functions of windows is to try and keep the indoor climate pretty stable. When these windows start getting old you are not going to have as much UV protection that can pose a problem. If it gets too cold they are going to freeze a lot easier as well. Those are some of the common issues!
